About this sitter
We are a solvent, reliable, practical, professional British married couple who are well travelled and enjoy exploring new places. We pride ourselves on our warm, calm and engaging relationship with animals.
Amanda is a highly regarded ex UK NHS Consultant Psychologist/Executive Director who now works in her own web-based consultancy business and she is also MD of a construction company.
Ivan is a builder/carpenter/musician who speaks fluent Spanish and reasonable French and Italian. He can build or fix almost anything.
We have lifelong experience of connecting with and caring for animals and also maintaining properties and gardens.
We are into healthy living and are both vegetarian (although totally happy to feed pets their meat-based food) and non smokers.
We enjoy the outdoors, nature, culture, and enjoy both the countryside and cities, good food, music, singing, architecture, ancient sites, theatre and we love walking and exploring.
Why they want to house sit
We travel all the time and we find that housesitting is a great way to visit new places and meet new people.

Highly recommended
Ivan and Amanda filled us with confidence from the first communication. They were organised and messaged us before the sit to ask questions and discuss our preferences. They arrived nice and early so that we could have plenty of time to go through all the details. Their friendly and confident nature put us at ease and we were more than happy to leave our two girls and our lovely house in their capable hands. Communication throughout was excellent, never too much, with some reassuring photos and updates. On our return the house was immaculate, clean, tidy and just as we left it. The girls were happy and relaxed and had obviously been cared for superbly. We can highly recommend them and hope to use them again for future sits.

Thank you to Amanda and Ivan for looking after Reg, Ned and Flash and the house so well for us. It was a very challenging stay for them as a storm hit Cornwall the day after we left! Very professional
Amanda turned up before the sit, as agreed, to have a quick preview which was nice to meet her face to face along with the video call. On the actual day Amanda arrived and we did a quick run through of the dogs and house requirements. All easy. You could tell she had done this numerous times before and knew what questions to ask. We received pupdates whilst we were away. No issues. On our return the dogs had been walked and fed and were happy which was brilliant. The house was clean and tidy. A very smooth sit and worry free. Very professional. What more could you want. Most importantly the dogs were happy. Thank you Ivan and Amanda.

Fabulous pet sitters
Amanda and Ivan were fabulous pet sitters and delightful people. They arrived the day before I left so I got to show them local dog walks and made them dinner. They kept me in touch with our pets with photos and took them on lots of interesting walks. When we got home the house was spotless, like it had been spring cleaned. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them or use them again.

Reliable, caring, and genuinely lovely sitters
Amanda and Ivan were absolutely fantastic house sitters. They were incredibly self-sufficient, clean, and attentive, and it was clear from the start that Bob felt completely comfortable and happy with them. Their communication was excellent — they sent thoughtful updates, photos and videos so we could see what Bob was up to and more importantly to provide us with the comfort of knowing that Bob was relaxed, entertained, and well cared for. They really took the time to understand his routines and quirks, and it showed. I returned home to a spotless house and a very content dog. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience — so much so that they’re already booked to come back in January for another stay. I would welcome them back anytime and wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone looking for reliable, caring, and genuinely lovely sitters.

We couldn't be happier
We totally lucked out getting Amanda and Ivan as sitters - it was a last minute emergency due to uncertain dates at our end, and their travel plans had fallen through. They were wonderfully flexible about dates to fit in with our moving target. Communication was great, with updates and photos of clearly happy cats. Especially huge thanks to Ivan for fixing a tap that sprang a leak just as we were leaving, and sorting out the sink drain as well. When you have a plumbing emergency and the sitter is a builder and handyman, that's more than good luck! We came home to a spotless house and contented, well-cared for cats. We couldn't be happier with Amanda and Ivan, they are a lovely, interesting couple we really enjoyed meeting. We'd be happy to welcome them back any time, and so would our 3 boys.

Thoroughly recommend
Amanda & Ivan are a lovely, interesting & socialable couple. We were able to chat over a meal before we left on our trip. They're very capable individuals & I was more than confident they'd do a grand job with all the furry friends. Had updates, pics & we communicated well. Absolutely fabulous
Absolutely fabulous sitters for our 2 very active 18month old collie girls. Arrived on time which gave us the chance to go through the basics. We felt very comfortable leaving the girls with Amanda. We got regular messages and photos. The house was very very tidy when we got home ,and my Greenhouse was looking great too. The girls were glad to see us but you could tell they had been very relaxed,they looked really well. Couldn't recommend these guys enough. Thankyou Ivan & Amanda

What a wonderful couple
What a wonderful couple! They sent me daily pics to show my cat was being loved. I felt so comfortable being away with them taking care of our house and cat. Super accommodating and flexible
We had Amanda and Ivan come look after our two spaniels for 2 weeks and couldn't have had a better experience. They were super accommodating and flexible when our flight moved earlier and made sure they arrived before we left. We got regular pictures and updates of the pups and it looked like they had a great time- going for walks, playing fetch and snuggling on the sofa. We arrived back to an absolutely spotless house and two very happy dogs. Fabulous
Amanda and Ivan were fabulous! The hand over was great, with clear arrangement’s for pick up. Another fascinating couple to meet! I loved that they understood the “campo “ Spanish ways that we have! Our pets were well cared for, and my house was just as lovely and clean as I left it! I highly recommend them, and if they are ever available again, I would love them to sit for us.

Great pet sitters
Amanda and Ivan were great Petsitters - they looked after our cats and our cottage excellently. Photos and a little chat were sent everyday to keep us informed all was well and they left the cottage clean and tidy, even stripping the bed and washing bedding.
