About this sitter

We are a well-travelled, well-educated, professional couple in our forties. We appreciate culture, sciences and the arts, and we do not drink or smoke. We have enjoyed extensive travel experiences all over the globe. We look forward to living like the locals and discovering regional nuances.

Why they want to house sit

A change of country and pets is a learning and giving experience with every new sit. Our work schedule allows us this privilege on the one hand, and to help out owners on the other. House-sitting has led us to many adventures and unique regions that we might never have considered visiting otherwise.

Their experience

We have successfully house-sat and home-exchanged on numerous occasions before and we are happy to provide references. We are former pet-owners and treat pets just like human beings (if
they don't like cuddles, we respect that too!). We appreciate observing and spending time around pets and wild animals. We are very scrupulous about making sure they have access to fresh water
and food and get enough exercise. We are enthusiastic about gardening and we make sure plants have enough water (and are not over-watered), light and warmth.

What can they bring to the assignment

Being homeowners ourselves, we are very respectful of people’s private space and property and are more than pleased to water plants, keep your place safe, identify and fix small issues. We have engineering backgrounds - we are very pragmatic and have practical problem-solving skills.
