Cat Lover working remote in Southern California

About this sitter

I am a data analyst from Southern California (Orange and LA County) with a Master's degree in Psychology Research from Cal Poly Humboldt. I have been working for nonprofits for over ten years in human services and currently volunteer with my local pet rescue. I have two cats, Raja (Siberian, 17 yrs) and Smokey (Blue Russian, 1 yr). Raja has been with me since he was a kitten and I've gone through multiple health scares with him (hyperthyroidism and kidney disease) while Smokey is a new foster fail with tons of energy!

Why they want to house sit

I would like to travel more and see the world without overspending. I would love to get real experience living in cities and have the added bonus of spending time with animals to hopefully lessen the sadness I feel when missing my pets while I'm away. I would love to stay in a cozy home while I work remotely and explore new places - either close to home or far away! Working remotely with a flexible schedule means I can get away and plan a trip relatively quickly and I'd like to stay for anywhere between a few days to a week.

I have not been a house sitter before but I have taken care of many cats as a volunteer with a pet rescue and have cared for my cat Raja for 17 years! I also have multiple years of babysitting experience.

What can they bring to the assignment

I love all animals with a special adoration for cats. I am clean, responsible, and communicative and am able to travel with relative ease.
