Hello! I’m a recent retiree with a passion for adventure, travel, and staying active. Life has blessed me with a wonderful family—four amazing children, four delightful grandchildren, and a lively crew of furry companions: four dogs, two cats, 2 bunnies, and a hen house full of chickens, who are very much part of the family and often under my care as their go-to babysitter.

Travel is a meaningful part of my lifestyle and MindMyHouse gives me the chance to feel at home away from home, connect with new communities, and experience life from a local’s perspective. I especially enjoy helping others by looking after their pets while they're away, which allows me to combine my love for animals with the joy of discovering new places. My other passion is cycling and my bicycle often travels with me, making it easy to explore cities and countryside alike at a comfortable, personal pace.

When I’m not cycling, I enjoy walking and hiking, whether it’s through vibrant city streets or along peaceful nature trails. I’m always eager to discover hidden gems, meet interesting people, and enjoy the simple, beautiful moments that make each place unique.

Retirement has given me the freedom to embrace curiosity, movement, and connection—three things that keep me feeling young at heart. Every day brings a new opportunity for adventure, and I’m grateful to share!

Most recently, I completed a rewarding three-month house sit in Umbria, Italy, where I cared for two lovely cats in a peaceful countryside setting. It was a truly enriching experience—immersing myself in the Italian way of life, exploring the surrounding villages, and forming a sweet bond with my feline companions.

Before that, I built up my experience through four successful house sits in and around Vancouver, Canada, caring for both cats and dogs. Each of these sits helped me grow more confident and comfortable, adapting to the individual needs of pets and the rhythms of different homes. Whether it was playful pups who loved long walks or cats who just needed a quiet, caring presence, I’ve enjoyed every moment of learning and connection.
