About this sitter

We are a retired couple now living in Porto, Portugal. Tim is a retired research scientist & professor. Faith was a health & wellness entrepreneur. Faith also has a degree in horticulture and loves gardening and caring for plants. We are both very active, healthy, and enjoy the adventure of new experiences, meeting new humans, and dogs!

We are a non-smoking, quiet couple who understand the importance of communication with animal and property owners when they are away from their home.

Why they want to house sit

Since 1997, we've had six dogs, all rescues. Since 2015, when our last dog passed away, we have talked about looking after other people's dogs when we retired so that we can still enjoy the company of dogs without having our own. The experience of having dogs and traveling has given us a deep understanding of the needs and behaviors of dogs, being away from them, and wanting (sometimes having) to travel.

We are not only able to care for your dogs, we are also able to care for, manage and maintain a home.

We know firsthand the challenge of having a home and property plus dogs and trying to find someone to care for a home and dogs as if it were their own. We empathize with the challenges pet owners face when they need to travel.

We want to alleviate this stress by offering our love of dogs to those who need to take time away or travel for family or work. You can rest assured that a mature, experienced, dog-loving couple will be caring for your beloved pets, allowing you to focus on your trip without worrying about your four-legged loves.
