About this sitter
Flexible and energetic woman born in 1959. Mother of two now adult children. Still very fit and time enough to travel, preferably in Europe.
I am Dutch, my French and English are fluent. The German language is ok, and I am learning Spanish and Italian. And, as we all know, we have to practice!
I am looking for houses of "normal size" or apartments, preferably in a city or close by a city. I like to walk, visit musea, go to theatre and cinema and of course taking care of other people's pets and household.
I have been petsitting since september 2024, especially in the Netherlands and Belgium. I am available from the 1st of february 2026.
Why they want to house sit
I love to travel and discover other countries. But I also like to keep a sort of daily routine, like cooking, keeping a house clean and tidy, and take care of the pets. At the meantime, we are planning to move, maybe to another part of France, or even another country. This is a good way to get to know and discover another region.
Their experience
Yes. I did one assignment through this site, see testimonial. But I did a lot of petsitting through "Oppasser gezocht" a Dutch site. And we always had dogs, cats, birds, rabbits, chicken ourselves when the children were still at home.
What can they bring to the assignment
I have a lot of energy. As I like to have a clean and tidy house, I will take care of your house or apartment as if it is mine. And I love to have company, so looking forward to meet your pets.

Saskia looked after our dog, cat, and house for three weeks in November 2025 while we traveled to Japan. We were so lucky to have her as our house sitter!
