About this sitter
I lead an active, caring and responsible life as a grandmother and catmother.
I am also used to looking after dogs.
Wherever I reside, I maintain a clean and tidy house.
I am happy to consider any house sit offer, particularly for 1 month or more at a time.
Whilst I am not currently police checked, please note that this has always previously been in place to allow me to work in my NHS role and also as a registered child minder.
Why they want to house sit
I want to expand my horizons, now that I have the time to discover and immerse myself in new cultures. I love to visit other countries, particularly in sunny climates and I would like to help others, to leave their home's and pets in safe hands.

I have successfully completed house/cat sitting assignments abroad, in Andalucia, Spain 🇪🇸 for 2 months from November '24 to January '25.
I returned to this location for 3 weeks in April 2025. 🇪🇸
And again for 4 weeks in December 2025 / January 2026. 🇪🇸
Also in May 2026 for 2 weeks🇪🇸
I am now looking forward to expanding my horizons, to explore new regions and gain new experiences ?? ? as the sitting in Andalucia is ending with the lady returning to the UK. This sitting was for 5 indoor and many outdoor cats, including two lovely mummy cats with 9 kittens between them. I managed to litter train and socialise the kittens ready for adoption before I returned home, on my final visit.
August '26 1 week x 1 dog & 1 cat sit in Oxford, 🇬🇧 what a joy these 2 were, so easy to care for.
Also, 2 successful private villa & dog sittings in Portugal 🇵🇹 September- October'25 x 4 weeks & repeating in December '26 x 3 weeks ( 3 adorable labradors ) 🇵🇹

Lovely lady
On first meeting Mags I was reassured. She was bubbly, kind and very capable - a really lovely lady. She spent just over a week looking after our pets, our labrador Lily and our Siamese called Max. Noticeably, our cat who is very shy with new people, took to Mags from the outset. Our pets were well looked after, fed, exercised and medicated. The house was very clean and tidy, she had obviously made an effort to keep everything in order. If you get the chance of a house sit with Mags you will not be disappointed. We cannot praise her enough and are so grateful to have found her to care for our animals and our home. Thank you so much Mags it was a real pleasure to meet you and hope to see you again in the future.

Cat sitter - 14th November 2024 - 10th January 2025
Margaret was very quick to offer her services as a cat sitter soon after I added the dates that I required cat sitters to the web site.. As soon as I heard from her, I could tell that she would be competent and efficient at caring for my cats. She arrived- as arranged on 14th November. I left the next day feeling confident that the cats would be well looked after during my absence as they all seemed happy to be left with Margaret. She kept in close touch with me while I was away sending texts, photographs etc. in which I felt the cats looked very settled and contented. On my return, the house was immaculately tidy and clean and the cats were all happy. She has been one of the most successful cat sitters I have had the pleasure of leaving my cats with. I would be very happy to leave her to cat sit another time. Thank you Margaret very much.
