About this sitter
I am originally from Barcelona although I have lived abroad most of my adult life. English is my second language. I studied performing arts and philosophy as well as yoga and somatic bodywork and I facilitate classes and private sessions..
I like traveling and living close nature. I am used to living in international communities .
My main interest are awareness practices and meditation, as well as music and dance as means of creative expression
I value peaceful atmospheres and beautiful natural spaces
Why they want to house sit
I love animals
I've had cats and helped in shelters before.
I used to ride horses as a kid and although I haven't for many years I still love them and I am always happy to be around them.
All in all, I love to be around animals and close to nature.
I think this kind if exchange is a perfect way of getting to spend time somewhere new.
Their experience
I am fairly new to house-sitting through a website although I have cared for friend's pets and homes before.
What can they bring to the assignment
Reliability, taking good care of your pets and home. I am very respectful of the spaces I live in, always keeping them clean and tidy.
Since I enjoy spending time at home engaged on my projects and the company of animals I'll be around as much as needed to care for your pets.

It couldn't have been better
Renée lived in my flat and looked after my two cats while I was away in Africa for six weeks. From the first time I spoke to her on the phone, I was convinced that she is the right person to care for my cats. She is a very calm, respectful and generally warm-hearted person, and there was not one moment where I worried about my cats while I was away. She regularly sent me photos, played with the cats or took them out into the garden on a leash. She loved them just as much as they loved her. And she actually changed their behavior for the better: One of the cats used to have the bad habit of waking me up early in the morning by scratching the carpet and meowing. This has stopped completely – it must be Renée's soothing aura as a yoga practitioner :-) Renée also took great care of my plants and left the house perfectly tidy. I am very happy to have chosen her as my catsitter. I now consider her as a friend, and she is always welcome in my house.
