About this sitter
I am a 69 year old retired Registered Nurse. I am active, energetic and dependable. I dream of living in different countries and in different parts of the U.S.over and over until I can't anymore.
My ex husband will join me on some chosen assignments. He is a retired high school teacher and coach.
Why they want to house sit
It would be my way of exploring different countries and cultures, a great interest of mine. I love animals and know how to make them relaxed and comfortable.
Their experience
I did travel nursing at the beginning and the end of my career, mostly in America but also in NZ.
We, Nick and I, have cared for several dogs, many cats, our 4 kids, rabbits, fish and now grandkids.
What can they bring to the assignment
I adapt to the area quickly. I understand and follow directions, and would respectfully care for home and animals. I have had many animals in my life and know the importance of being comfortable leaving them to someone I trust.

Perfect House sitter
Elyse was the ideal housesitter. Her planned journey from the US was thwarted by a storm resulting in the cancellation of her flight. She immediately booked another and arrived a day early, first checking with us that this was convenient which, of course, it was. This gave us an extra day to get to know Elyse - a bonus before our holiday. Elyse quickly bonded with our cat and, if we had one minor gripe, it was that we returned to an even more spoiled cat... Elyse was great about keeping in touch while we were away, the occasional text reassuring us that all was well, and respecting our wish not to receive endless pics of our cat (it was a holiday from him as well as from work). This was Elyse's first visit to the UK and she embraced travelling and sightseeing with a spirited attitude that gave us confidence she would take managing the house and cat in her stride. We returned to a spotless house (as expected) and only regret that Elyse left shortly before we arrived home so we weren't able to thank her in person.
