We are Heike and Stefan, an early retired couple (electrical engineer and solicitor assistant) from southwest Germany. Married, with two grown up children.

This gives us the great opportunity and freedom to travel with a very flexible schedule to our worldwide house/pet sits.

We are both healthy, love the life, pet and garden lovers, reliable, honest, calm, well organized, tidy, kind and non-smokers.

Our hobbies are hiking, swimming, gardening, playing board games, reading, cooking and visiting local markets, museums and small concerts. Furthermore Heike loves baking bread and Stefan is an enthusiastic craft beer home brewer with his own built stainless steel brewing machine.

Why they want to house sit

Housesitting is for us a wonderful possibility to feel at home while we are exploring the world, to live as locals at new places, with the unique chance to enhance our language skills (we speak English, a little French and Spanish).

At the moment we have no own pets so we can connect two great things: pet sitting and house sitting.

Since we joined the housesitter community on various platforms in 2017 we are absolutely hooked. In the meantime we have had over 50 amazing engagements worldwide with unique and wonderful pets, all with excellent 5* references from our hosts.

As home owners, we are practical and experienced with any tasks your home, garden, pool, etc. may require in your absence. So you can travel with the peace of mind that all is being cared for.

Caring for your pets, as well as maintaining your home and garden, is also an important part of our work. They are precious and will be treated with love and care, so you don't have to worry while you're away. We understand the unique characteristics of older properties.
