About this sitter

My wife and I are retired Educators from the US living in Porto,Portugal.
We have been house and pet sitting with Housecarers.com since January 2022 in the US and internationally. We are seeking opportunities to learn more about Portugal and enjoy caring for pets. For over 25 years we owned homes and pets. We are clean, organized, responsible and trustworthy individuals.

Why they want to house sit

We enjoy learning about locations in Portugal we are unfamiliar with. This is an opportunity for us to visit other locations outside of Porto. We have been in Porto for 2 years and having studied Portuguese we are now comfortable in the country and want to expand our horizons in this lovely country.

Their experience

Yes- with Housecarers.com since January 2022. Have house and pet sat in the US, in Malaysia, Thailand and Spain. We have excellent recommendations that we need to transfer if possible from our profile on Housecarers.com. Our oldest daughter has been a Vet Technician for 20 so we have learned from her about animal care.

What can they bring to the assignment

We are experienced, mature, clean, cautious, caring individuals who have raised children in our own family who are now married and successful and we have had cats and dogs as pets. For house pet assignments we also have been responsible for turtles. In a few house assignments we needed to administer medication to pets. We are warm individuals who are thoughtful and careful with others possessions and animals.
