Caring, Responsible, Semi-Retired Professional Couple Seeking to Care for your Pets and Home

About this sitter

We are responsible, reliable and have the skills and kindness to take care of your pets, home, and garden while ensuring that security is maintained. We have been Airbnb superhosts for 11 years and therefore know how to communicate well and maintain a home. I (Michelle) am a part-time instructor at Concordia University and online tutor. I have over 40 house plants that I care for including 15 orchids. I have had at least 10 cats over the course of my life and dozens of finches, budgies and love birds. I also love to work in a garden. Malcolm is a retired tech expert from Scotland who can fix anything. Being a dog owner for over 10 years and having worked on a farm, he has a lot of experience taking care of dogs, and farm animals. He also grows an abundance of vegetables every year.

Why they want to house sit

We are empty nesters, love to travel, and to meet new people. Our pets have recently left us and honestly, we miss care-giving. We feel that travelling and staying in hotels separates us from local communities. Taking care of your home and pets would not only give us a sense of purpose but would allow us to live among the locals. We are committed to providing excellent care of your animals, plants, garden and property while maintaining regular communication with you.

Their experience

We were members of HomeLink for over 10 years where we swapped homes with families in Canada, France, Wales, Ireland, and England. During that time, we took care of their plants, pets and homes. We consistently received great reviews where homeowners commented on how well we maintained their home, how much they appreciated the timely communication, and how clean they found it when they returned. We have been homeowners for over 30 years and have had tenants and Airbnb guests so we know how to keep a home clean and well-maintained.
