About this sitter
I'm a retired teacher and animal lover. I love nature, science, gardening, reading, and do lots of crochet.
I want to see all of the southeastern coastline from the Carolinas all the way down and all of Florida in particular. House and pet sitting allows me to see new areas and learn new things, plus I get the advantage to hang out with lots of different fur babies.
Why they want to house sit
House sitting allows me the chance to take mini vacations while doing something for someone else. I can see and learn new things everywhere I go.
I've had cats all of my adult life and last year I lost my girl of 15 years. I've found I can get the joy of pets caring for other people's pets.
Their experience
Most of my experience has been for friends and neighbors. I've cared for their 4 legged and feathered family in their home and in mine. Currently I live in too small a space to pet sit here.
I've fed and watered horses, chickens, dogs, cats, birds, and lizards. Animals generally like me and seem to find my voice calming.
What can they bring to the assignment
Lots of care and attention for your pets, respect and responsibility for your home and personal space. I'm a private person and respect others' privacy.
As stated, I am a retired teacher. I have a clean background and fingerprint clearance for substitute teaching.

3 month house sit in New Orleans
I can definitely recommend Rai as a house sitter. She was at my house for 3 months over the summer. I do not have any pets, but I have a very large garden with flowers and vegetables and I needed someone knowledgeable about plants to take care of it and my house. We communicated via WhatsApp since I was in Europe and she always replied in less than two minutes every time I messaged her. Once a week she sent me around a dozen photos of the garden so I could lend my input. She collected the mail and kept me updated on anything important happening in the neighborhood. I was especially happy that she left my house clean and tidy.
