About this sitter

I am friendly, outgoing and responsible. I have been housesitting for a few years now, since I retired. I grew up on a farm in Canada so have been around animals my entire life. I have had cats and dogs with special needs so am comfortable le with seniors and any medication administration.
I own a duplex in Winnipeg that I rent out and a cottage on Lake Manitoba that is currently my home base. I am used to plant care, inside and out of the house. I have house sat for dogs, indoor and outdoor cats, chickens and even a tortoise!

Why they want to house sit

I love to housesit when I travel. I find housesitting gives me the chance to settle in and take my time exploring foreign neighborhoods! Because I have recently lost my own dog, looking after other people’s fur babies has really helped with healing from that loss. I will get another dog/ cat once I stop travelling so much!

I also currently volunteer through Manitoba Mutts in assisting fosters with veterinary care.

What can they bring to the assignment

I bring a great attitude, relaxed, casual personality that pets seem to respond to. I have experience in medication/ seizure care/ megaesophagus with personal pets and many other emergency situations with fosters in care of Manitoba Mutts.
I have travelled extensively and am able to navigate different languages and cultures quite well.
