About this sitter
PLEASE NOTE: We're available to house-sit in Australia from 27 October 2025 until 28 February 2026 (approx) and in Europe in March, April and June 2026.
We are new to this website but not new to pet-sitting. I have included screenshots of some of our reviews from the Trusted House Sitters in the photo section of our profile https://shorturl.at/QixhI
In early 2022 we retired, packed up our home in Canterbury, Victoria and resumed exploring the world. We now divide our time between Australia and the Northern Hemisphere, including London, where our daughters were born.
Before retiring, we lived and worked throughout Australia, in the United Kingdom and the Caribbean.
Craig worked in health care for over 40 years. He was the CEO of several public teaching hospitals in Australia. I worked in accounting, marketing, and publishing and was a stay-at-home Mum. I also volunteered as a telephone crisis worker at Lifeline Australia (similar to the Samaritans in the US and UK) and I volunteered as a biographer with Eastern Palliative Care, Victoria. Today, we both have clear Australian police checks; I have a Working With Children Check and Craig has a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check.
Since March 2022 Craig and I have been travelling within Australia and in Europe. In 2025 we will begin our sits in the US. We both love travelling and, of course, house- and pet-sitting.

Why they want to house sit
Having cut many of the big ties that bound us to Australia while working full-time and raising our daughters we’ve now opened ourselves up to living life differently.
We know the joy and love that owning pets can bring but, for obvious reasons, we aren't in a position to care for pets of our own as we explore the world ... hence, our openness to and enjoyment of house-sitting and pet-sitting.
Their experience
Our first experience of pet-sitting was with Harry, a two-year-old Border Collie, in Melbourne. Since then we've enjoyed over 30 house-sits and cared for a wide variety of animals from dogs and cats to chickens, snakes, blue tongue lizards, goldfish and mice. And, our adventures continue...
Before we became housesitters, there was Truffles, our much-loved Border Collie. We believe he had a long and happy life and he certainly brought our family joy.
What can they bring to the assignment
Like everything in life, we bring our whole selves to whatever it is we are doing.

Wonderful house sitters
Rosemary and Craig were wonderful house sitters. They cared for our 2 fur babies as requested with walks, cuddles and treats. We have 1 who’s a finicky eater which can be a bit challenging but they seemed to have managed that just fine. I was also thrilled to come home to a clean and tidy house as well as a garden and veggie patch that had been watered just as I wanted. I would recommend this charming couple to anyone requiring a sitter.

This was a return (second) sit for Rosemary and Craig, and they were just fabulous once again -- excellent house and cat sitters for us during our three weeks away. They kept us updated on important goings-on from home and always asked if they had any questions about the house or any concerns about anything that seemed out of the ordinary for our kitty Brio. They again took great care of the home -- everything was super clean and tidy upon our return. We would welcome Craig and Rosemary again if the opportunity ever presented itself, and we likewise highly recommend them to you.

Excellent house and cat sitters
Rosemary and Craig were excellent house and cat sitters for us during a two-week period away. We would recommend them highly. They asked good clarifying questions, provided updates on our kitty Brio, and took great care of the home. Everything was spic and span when we returned, and we found a very happy cat as well. We absolutely would welcome Craig and Rosemary again -- and, in fact, we are already looking forward to their return for a second sit in just a few weeks.

Rosemary and Craig did a great job looking after our pets (dog, cat, and 6 mice) and the house for the one week. Rosemary kindly came to the house before we went on holiday so I could meet her and show her around. It was nice to get a few updates on the pets when we were away, and they asked questions if they weren’t sure of any instructions. I’d happily recommend them.

I couldn't be happier with the care that Rosemary & Craig provided for both my beloved pooch and home. Upon an initial video introduction right through to a brief in person meet, greet and orientation at to my home and to Bentley as I was leaving and then upon my my return home after two weeks away I knew I was in good hands. This was my first time using a sitter and understandably I was nervous to have strangers stay and care for my precious fur family. I could not have been luckier with Rosemary and Craig who looked after my house and animals as their own. I feel they have been incredibly caring and I was so grateful when I got home late to find a spotless house and my sheets all dry ready to put on my bed again. In fact, I am pretty sure I found the house cleaner than I had left it (and I am pretty house proud!!) The pets were all happy and did not seem upset. Rosemary and Craig had kindly left some lights on for them before they left.Thank you both from the bottom of my heart, I would not hesitate to have you back here!💓

Rosemary and Craig looked after our 10 month old puppy for two weeks whilst we were abroad. We had a video call to meet them a few months prior and they were easy to communicate with both before and during the sit. It was our first time leaving Arla and they sent lovely update messages so we could see that both she and our house were in great hands! The house was absolutely immaculate on our return which was a lovely bonus and we would happily welcome them back any time and recommend them to anyone considering a housesitter.

Wonderful sitters
Rosemary & Craig were wonderful sitters to Fletcher, Harvey and our chooks. Rosemary kept in contact throughout the sit advising updates on the dogs' health and sending snapshots of their time together. Our home was immaculate upon returning, and we greatly appreciated their assistance in keeping the garden watered on hot days.
