Active, responsible animal loving couple, available for house-sitting in Europe throughout the Summer

About this sitter

Hi there, we are Annie & Tris, an active, out-going couple, both in our early to mid-fifties. Living in the midlands of Ireland, we naturally have a great love of the countryside and exploring the great outdoors. We would like house-sits that match our lifestyle at home, semi-rural with opportunities for walking, cycling and swimming. We are both non-smokers, clean living and enjoy cooking, crafting and music.

Why they want to house sit

We have just finished raising our family and my husband has retired from his full-time employment as a prison officer so we finally have time to dedicate to travel and experiencing other cultures in as authentic a way possible. What better way to do so than through house-sitting?

Their experience

While we have not house-sat in an official capacity, we have often maintained homes of friends/neighbours while they were away on vacation. We have also looked after their pets, both in their homes and ours, as well as maintaining our own home to an excellent standard for over 30 years.

What can they bring to the assignment

We are both experienced, responsible pet owners and have fostered many dogs throughout the years. In fact, both of our family pets are rescues! My primary employment is as school support for children with additional needs, a position that requires great patience, empathy and a calm demeanor. I also work part-time from home as pet groomer so am well used to handling dogs of varying breeds, sizes and temperaments. My husband, since retiring, has worked part-time as a school bus safety escourt for children with additional needs. Both of our positions require us to pass national police-vetting, which we have. Hopefully this also demonstrates our trustworthiness to potential clients.
