About this sitter

I currently work in the humanitarian sector in Kyiv, Ukraine for an INGO. Before Ukraine, I led grassroots projects in Greece working with asylum seekers and refugees, including founding a UK-registered charity mobile education project, ECHO for Refugees (@refugeelibrary), and coordinating an intercultural makerspace (@habibiworks).

I had a multicultural, pet-filled upbringing—between frequent moves, my family cared for dogs, cats, parrots, rabbits, chickens, turtles, iguanas, and the occasional litter of puppies or kittens. I've never been able to shake that travel bug or my love of animals. I combine my trips with petsits whenever possible.

Why they want to house sit

Working in the humanitarian sector can be intense, and petsitting offers the perfect balance when I travel. I get to decompress, explore new landscapes, and care for animals—all things that restore me. I love exploring new places in a more organic way—with a furry (or feathered) companion by my side.

Their experience

As a petsitter, I've completed over 40 sits around the world, caring for everything from the everyday to the unexpected—dogs, cats, rabbits, birds, alpacas, and even disabled pigeons. I have plenty of experience with animals requiring special care, including medication administration, mobility support, and managing incontinence. Besides petsitting, I have fostered many stray cats and dogs (including kittens and puppies), and I'm always the first to volunteer when friends need someone to look after their pets!

What can they bring to the assignment

Reliability, genuine affection for animals, and a calm presence. I'll care for your pets with patience and attention to their individual needs, keep your home respectful and tidy, and stay in touch with updates. You can trust that your animals will be loved, your home will be safe, and any instructions will be followed carefully.
