A bit about us:
Rachel is a former project manager in international development and the humanitarian sectors (Laos, South Africa, Indonesia, Lebanon, Afghanistan). She's organised, responsible, independent and reliable, adaptable and genuinely enjoys helping others as well as taking care of furry friends. She took a sabbatical from her career and then decided to stay in one place and begin a new career freelancing. She's now a communications manager, working remotely.

Javi was a former IT Director for a London-based company and now freelances, working remotely. He lived in London for 6 years before moving back to Spain.

We love walking dogs and hanging out with cats, so if you're looking for someone friendly, reliable and low-key, it would be a pleasure to help you out. Since we work from home, we can adapt to their needs, but we also love getting outside and walking or playing with them if they need to stretch their legs.

Why they want to house sit

We've taken care of cats and dogs for both family and friends (beagles, French bulldogs, blue heelers, and all kinds of cats). While we don't have any of our own due to our travels and restrictions on having pets in flats here, we genuinely enjoy taking care of pets, playing with them and cuddling them (if they let us!) and the feeling we are helping out their humans.

We also like discovering new places in a local fashion, and getting some fresh air with your pets if they like getting outdoors too.

Their experience

Rachel has looked after her brother's family dog Dibs (a Blue Heeler) and their cat Jimmy who live in the country, her sister's dog Mocha (Beagle), and various friend's cats and dogs in Barcelona where she's normally based these days, including her old flatmate's dog Lucy, another friend's cat called Mephisto who is lovely but has refined tastes :) Javi regularly takes care of his best friend's dog (Frenchie) but loves all animals.

What can they bring to the assignment

*We're both vaccinated, non-smoking and open to sits in Europe/UK for the moment as we can more easily commit to those
*We're experienced, flexible, and work from home but enjoy the outdoors especially walking and cycling
