Author and animal lover looking for a longterm sit

About this sitter

My background is 30 years in journalism and a published author.
I've had dogs most of my life and we have two cats and a cockatiel, nowadays, who will be well looked after by my lovely husband while I'm away.
These days, I'm focused on finishing my next two books.
I'm looking for a longer term sit so I can integrate with the local community and provide continuity as a caretaker to your pets.

Why they want to house sit

I love the idea of a home-from-home setting away from distractions but with the company of pets to look after. I love the symbiotic exchange of being a trusted custodian of your home and carer for your loved ones while living within the community, rather than a hotel or resort environment.

Their experience

I have looked after my neighbour's house, cats and dogs while she was off on her travels. Reference can be provided.

What can they bring to the assignment

I'll look after your home and pets like they are my own, with diligence, integrity and responsibility. While I look forward to exploring the area and enjoying a different lifestyle, I won't be leaving your loved ones at home alone all day. I'm not looking for a base for my travels but to integrate with the local community and be a reliable presence in your home as well as providing reassuring human contact for your pets.
I'm happy to keep in regular touch with you and respond to any maintenance issues that might come up while you're away.
