About this sitter

We are a retired husband and wife who love animals (especially dogs, and most especially large dogs) and we miss having pets in our lives. Let us share that love with your pets! We are tidy, responsible, friendly and compassionate. Fit and active. Non-smokers, non-drug users. As well as caring for your pets, we will treat your home with the utmost respect. Having been homeowners ourselves for over 40 years, we know that you take pride in a well-tended and neat home…that’s how we will leave it when we’re done house and/or petsitting for you.

Why they want to house sit

Being able to lavish love and attention on the pets of others gives us great joy. How fortunate are those whose lives are enriched by these special creatures who live alongside humans! How blessed to receive the gift of companionship, comfort, and nonjudgmental affection!

Their experience

We were pet parents to 3 dogs for over 30 years. Our first boyo, Graham, was a half Golden, half Labrador sweetheart who lived to almost 15 years. He trained us up to be pretty good pet parents, and actually gave us the confidence to have a child. Our following pup, Rockford, was the runt of the litter but grew into a massive chocolate Lab. So incredibly smart, and the gentlest boy. We taught him a dozen voice commands, and hand signals for most of those as well. He passed away at 12 from osteosarcoma. Our third pup was a rescued Golden Retriever who came to us at one year old…shy, rail-thin, matted and neglected. Bodhisattva responded immediately to kindness, attention, and wholesome food. He had been the light in our eyes for three years when he was diagnosed with T-cell lymphoma. He passed away less than a year later, following chemo and as much pampering and love as we could give him. We miss all three of them terribly, and hope our experience with our own pets demonstrates how well we will care for and interact with yours.
