Taking the Long Way Around the World

About this sitter

We want to learn by slow traveling. What a better way than to be among people where you’re traveling? It’s one thing to zip through a place as a tourist, which is fine, but would love to have a chance to stay awhile and soak up a place/culture. We like to get off the beaten path to get a glimpse of how real people, the fur children, live in the places we visit.

Why they want to house sit

As we slow travel, why not be useful? As a serial entrepreneur, we have always kept busy with our family and businesses. Now retired, loving some fur babies, and being the family pet(s) grandparents for awhile would give us joy.

Their experience

Nick We grew up on farms, and throughout our lives we have always had animals. In our early years, my husband worked with veterinarians. He is very good at reading and training animals. Having been business owners in many different fields, we understand that it is important to respect other people and their property, and treasure the "children" in our lives.

What can they bring to the assignment

We are acutely aware of what it means to be responsible and accountable, Having been on the frontlines of customer service, we are sensitive to the needs and requirements of your beloved companions especially when their parents can't be with them.
