About this sitter

I love to travel. I love to move around, but I am also a home owner. I have had pets since I was a child - always a dog and a cat at least, and had 2 wonderful dogs and 4 cats when my kids were at home. Alas as I now wander, no more. I do often think that it would be wonderful to have the company of a pet at home. I love the outdoors.
I have 3 adult daughters, who all live in different states. I also have one wonderful grandson.
My work has been office administration and work in a school in Alice Springs. I am also able to teach EAL and am a massage therapist.
I love speaking with people about what interests them; I like to read and I write creatively. I speak Italian and French and have a Bachelor in Italian and Linguistics - I have studied at the Universities of Florence and Bologna; I am teaching myself Irish and hope to study it in earnest some day. I go to the gym, swim and bush walk for exercise. I like to listen to traditional folk music and go to festivals often.

I am passionate about my family history and ancestry, mostly from Ireland but also from Switzerland. In fact, that is the reason I am coming to Ireland. I am researching my ancestors and want to stay in the places they came from.
I am looking for a house to sit, learn the local culture and surrounds, feel home and look after it was if it were my home for the time I am there.

Why they want to house sit

When I am travelling, I like to have all the normal comforts of being at home. This is why I have enjoyed housesitting so much. It is also a wonderful opportunity to connect with people - a thing I love to do. If I have the privilege of living in your home and caring for your precious pets, then I will nurture the space as if it was my own ... but in the way you like it. Can't wait for the opportunity to meet you and your pets!

I have sat many houses and pets in Australia, with fabulous reviews that can be substantiated. Oh, and plants ... I am a very good gardener and have many indoor and outdoor plants at my home in Victoria. I lived on a 10 acre property for 10 years and have a lot of experience in looking after land and gardens and animals.
