About this sitter

We are new to MindMyHome but we are experienced, non smoking housesitters. We are caring, responsible and professional. I was a University Lecturer in Education and Terry was a General Manager and a Domestic Energy Assessor, providing Energy Performance Certificates.
After a very busy post retirement period, we decided we wanted to continue to travel and experience living and meeting people both in
the UK and France. We have successfully completed a number of house sits in UK and France for the past four years.

Why they want to house sit

We are retired and we have more free time to explore. We love the opportunity to live and experience different places, albeit temporarily. House sitting allows us this opportunity. We are able to choose sits which fit our and your requirements exactly.

Their experience

We have successfully undertaken a variety of house sitting assignments for our regular homeowners over the last four years and these will continue. Terry and I are responsible and trustworthy, We realise how important it is to communicate effectively with you but only if you wish, as and when you deem is necessary. We have experience in caring for pets and managing a home during the owners' absence.
We now sit for the same families regularly in the UK built upon recommendations to friends and family. Our homeowners have indicated they are more than willing to provide testimonials. We apply for assignments which are tailored to our specific skills and your needs.
Terry held CRB and I held enhanced DBS certification up to retirement, however these have now expired.

What can they bring to the assignment

We have excellent communication and organisational skills and we are professional, friendly and approachable. We fully renovated sold our second home in the Limousin, France. The experience we gained there demonstrates our ability to tackle most minor maintenance issues should they arise. We have always and continue to enjoy planning, organising, tending and maintaining large and small gardens.
