Hi there!
We’re Clara & Jonathan, a German couple in our 20s, currently travelling full-time and trying to see a lot of our beautiful world.

Since 2022 we’ve been travelling, starting really fast and then later on doing some volunteerings. In this weeks we just had the most amazing experiences. We just love to stay longer now at a place, experience the country, people and culture more intensely and we truly enjoy offering homeowners peace of mind while they’re away.

We’re both calm, tidy, non-smokers and reliable. Together, we run a travel YouTube channel (Boarding Away) where we share our experiences from around the world. In addition, Clara works online as a freelance copywriter.

We both follow a calm, structured daily rhythm that balances creative work with quiet time – making us ideal house sitters for looking after pets, plants and gardens.

We speak German, English and a bit of Spanish. Back home, we’ve both grown up with pets – from dogs and cats to rabbits. We deeply miss having animals around and would love the chance to take care of yours with lots of love and attention.

Why they want to house sit

House sitting is the perfect way for us to slow down while traveling and feel more connected to a place – not just as visitors, but as part of the everyday rhythm of life there.

We love the idea of helping others travel with peace of mind, knowing that their home and pets are being looked after with care and respect. As remote workers, we spend a lot of time at home – which means your pets won’t be left alone, and your house will always feel lived in and cared for.

Most of all, we truly miss having animals around. House sitting allows us to reconnect with that joy while offering real value in return.

Their experience

We both grew up with animals – dogs, cats, and rabbits (for Jonathan) were a part of our everyday lives back in Germany. Caring for them taught us responsibility, patience and how much joy animals bring into a home.

Over the past few years, we’ve also house sat for friends on several occasions, looking after their homes and pets while they were away.
Besides that, we once did a volunteering in Thailand, where we also took care of 2 dogs and a couple of chicken.
