Dog-loving man going through divorce... :-(

About this sitter

I would like to housesit somewhere quiet as I have a hearing condition called Hyperacusis, which means ordinary sounds are uncomfortably loud, so ideally with no tenants above with wooden floors etc, and at least away from busy roads or ideally in the countryside.

Why they want to house sit

I own a house in Southwick, West Sussex, with my wife, unfortunately we're going through a divorce, so I'm looking for an affordable way for me to be out of the house. I would need to be reasonably near to Southwick, 45 minutes drive maximum, as I will probably have to pop back once a week or so...

Their experience

At housesitting, no, although I have done it on an informal basis for friends in London many years ago.
Before I owned my own house, I rented in London for about twenty years with no problems, but that was about 25 years ago..

What can they bring to the assignment

I love dogs, I have/had two, one an old Labrador Collie, and the other a poodle/border terrier.

Obviously with my hearing condition I will be a very quiet sitter!
