About this sitter
I'm looking for a house sit opportunity sometime in the winter-spring-summer 2026. Ideally a place where I can access public transportation into town / the city, cruise around on a bicycle and explore the countryside nearby.
My aim would be to housesit / care for pets & property while taking in a short travel experience in a local authentic setting.
Why they want to house sit
My goal would be to improve my French & build my Spanish language skills, connect with locals and the surrounding culture and build relationships with people and places that are meaningful.
Their experience
I completed my first house sitting experience in La Madeleine, LIlle FR from Jul 23-Aug 8. I've done Workaways on/off for a number of months in France, the Netherlands, Scotland and Vietnam years ago.
I've taken care of cats, dogs, fish & reptiles and maintained property for security, cleanliness and safety.

A very responsible housesitter!
Marcus came all the way from BC Canada to sit for my three cats. He has been eager to do things right and was a little apprehensive since this was his first sit for MindMyHouse. However, he has been an excellent houseguest and I cam back to happy cats and a house that has been looked after well. Marcus is trustworthy and I would recommend him any time! We spent a couple of days together before my departure and after I came back which helped make this more than just a housesit. I do hope we remain in contact in the future.
