About this sitter

I am single and in my early 50s; I work remotely as a writer and editor and am looking for a quiet place to work while I can also be available to provide walks, scratches behind the ears, treats, and general pet companionship. I am quiet, low-key, and love the outdoors, taking walks, hikes, and also staying in and doing puzzles and reading.

Why they want to house sit

I'd like to provide a quality service for those looking for house or pet sitters because I know how important it is to have peace of mind while you're traveling. Because I work remotely, I have flexibility in my location. I have traveled to and lived in several countries, including Europe, Asia, Africa, and the Middle East. There's still so much to see and experience - I would still like to see more of the US and abroad.

I have taken care of friend's children and pets for many years, including toddler people, puppies, chickens, cats, guinea pigs, etc.

We had such a fun time with Jen as our guest. She was a joy to have in our home. The perfect amount of interaction where we visited daily (and laughed too!) but yet there was respect for our time and space. I also must mention that she loved our dogs, cared for them while we were away and they will certainly miss her! We have a new friend and will definitely host again!

I really like Jen. We had a nice little time together. She even helped me pick the garden produce in the dark! Good sport, nice person, great guest.

What can they bring to the assignment

I'm friendly, adaptable, clean, and easy to relate to. I enjoy people and pets, and have had several years' experience living overseas in all kinds of conditions. My personal rule is to treat others' things better than I treat my own; leave a place better than I found it, and be respectful of others.
