About this sitter

We are Cris and Javi, a couple aged 36 and 38.
We love animals, nature, and everything that invites us to live in presence.
We’re looking to care for homes that reflect these same values: peaceful spaces, full of soul, surrounded by natural beauty, and shared with living beings we treat like family. For us, caring for a house is not just about maintaining it, but also holding its energy and giving back the love it offers us.

We have previous experience looking after country homes, gardens, pets, and rural houses, and we always adapt respectfully to the routines and particularities of each place. We are responsible, organized, sensitive people, and deeply grateful to those who trust us with their home.

Oh! And we have a car!

Amamos a los animales, la naturaleza y todo lo que invita a vivir en presencia.
Buscamos cuidar hogares que reflejen estos mismos valores: espacios tranquilos, llenos de alma, rodeados de belleza natural y habitados también por seres vivos a los que tratamos como familia. Para nosotros, cuidar una casa no es solo mantenerla, sino también sostener su energía y devolverle el cariño que nos da.

Tenemos experiencia previa en el cuidado de fincas, huertos, mascotas y casas rurales, y siempre nos adaptamos con respeto a las rutinas y particularidades de cada lugar. Somos personas responsables, organizadas, sensibles y profundamente agradecidas con quienes nos confían su hogar.

Why they want to house sit

We feel a deep respect for beautiful homes, animals, and nature, and we see house sitting as a precious opportunity to live in spaces that resonate with our way of being in the world: calm and connected to simplicity.

We both work remotely and have our own long-term personal project focused on living in nature. We believe that the more we learn from different experiences, the more “perfect” our own space will be—because we’ll know what truly suits us and what doesn’t.

To us, house sitting is not just a practical exchange, but a way of life aligned with our values: living respectfully, quietly, and in service to those who open their homes to us.

We’re deeply motivated by the possibility of holding space while others are away, bringing trust, peace of mind, stability, and lots of love to every corner of the home.

Sentimos un profundo respeto por los hogares bonitos, los animales y la naturaleza, y vemos el house sitting como una oportunidad preciosa de vivir en espacios que resuenan con nuestra forma de estar en el mundo: en calma y en conexión con lo sencillo.

Teletrabajamos y tenemos nuestro propio proyecto personal a futuro también enfocado a vivir en la naturaleza. Creemos que cuanto más aprendamos de todas las experiencias, más “perfecto” será el nuestro, pues ya sabremos qué es lo que es para nosotros y qué no.

Creemos que hacer house sitting no es solo un intercambio práctico, sino una forma de vida coherente con nuestros valores: vivir de manera respetuosa, silenciosa y al servicio de quienes nos abren sus puertas.

Nos motiva la posibilidad de sostener espacios mientras otros se ausentan, aportando confianza y tranquilidad, estabilidad y mucho cariño a cada rincón del hogar.

Their experience

We have experience taking care of rural houses and properties at different moments in our lives, including our most recent experience, where we lived for several months on a self-sufficient and ecological farm in exchange for looking after it and helping with the daily tasks. There, we took care of the vegetable garden, general property maintenance (including basic electricity, walls and fences, pool…), the animals, and the energetic harmony of the space. We’ve also looked after pets and adapt easily to the routines and specific needs of each home. We’re known for being respectful, detail-oriented, and fully committed. We always treat every house as if it were our own.

As for pet care, we’ve lived with animals for much of our lives, including sheep and hens. It was a true gift to share 14 years with Jara, a beautiful border collie, with Rita, our sweet and calm cat, and for 12 years also with Ares, a powerful and loving rottweiler.

Sadly, they’ve passed on, but caring for the three of them over so many years gave us a lot of hands-on experience: walking, feeding, playing, and learning how animals communicate. For us, animals are part of the family and deserve to be treated with respect, love, and presence.

Tenemos experiencia en el cuidado de casas rurales y fincas en diferentes momentos de nuestra vida personal, incluyendo la experiencia más reciente, donde vivimos durante varios meses en una finca autosuficiente y ecológica a cambio de cuidarla y colaborar en las tareas del lugar. Allí nos ocupamos del huerto, del mantenimiento general de la finca (incluyendo electricidad básica, muros y vallas, piscina…), de los animales, y del equilibrio energético del espacio. También hemos cuidado mascotas y nos adaptamos con facilidad a las rutinas y necesidades específicas de cada casa. Nos caracterizamos por ser muy respetuosos, detallistas y comprometidos. Siempre tratamos cada casa como si fuera nuestro propio hogar.

En cuanto al cuidado de mascotas, hemos convivido con animales durante gran parte de nuestra vida, incluyendo ovejas y gallinas. Fue un regalo para nosotros compartir 14 años con Jara, una border collie preciosa, con Rita, nuestra gata bonita y tranquila, y durante 12 años, también con Ares, un rottweiler imponente y cariñoso.

Tristemente, ya fallecieron, pero cuidarlos a los tres durante tanto tiempo nos dio mucha experiencia en el día a día con animales: paseos, alimentación, juegos, entender cómo se comunican… Para nosotros, los animales son parte de la familia y merecen ser tratados con respeto, Amor y presencia.
