About this sitter

I'm a veterinarian and I'm moving to Barcelona with my partner Bjorn to work in a cat clinic. I'm from Italy and I speak fluently English, Spanish and French. Bjorn is half South African and half Danish. He speaks English Afrikaans and Danish, currently working on adding Spanish to his list.

Why they want to house sit

Bjorn and I love to live with pets but we are not able to travel with our family’s pets. While they remain at home with our families, living with your pets would make our travels more peaceful and natural. We would love to take care of them and the house as needed as it is a natural part of our routine. Besides being a cheaper way of living in the city, it allows us to have a far more pleasant and interesting experience, getting to help people and to share love with their beautiful animals.

Their experience

It's our first time on this platform, but both of us have a wide experience in caring for pets and homes.
Bjorn has looked after many dogs of various sizes with a variety of needs. Cocker spaniel, Staffordshire bullterrier, golden retriever, Irish wolfhound, Great Dane. Some having complex diets and others requiring medication on strict schedules. Walking and exercise with dogs is an incredibly rewarding hobby for me. He has also owned cats and kittens.
I have a lot of experience with cats as I grew up with them in her home. I have taken care of them in the full spectrum, including not only daily feeding and petting but also from a medical point of view, being a veterinarian.
We also have various house sitting experience in different parts of the world.

What can they bring to the assignment

Our caring love and attention to the animals' needs, a lot of positive energy and of course medical knowledge and skills to ensure the animals stay healthy in our care. Since Bjorn is taking a break from clinical medicine to further his studies this year, he will have plenty of time to take care of the animals as needed.
