About this sitter
Active retired couple immersing ourselves in the world
Retired and ready to go! Ken (Senior VP) finished up his 34-year career in May 2025 (however, will be a remote contract employee when needed); Jenn (chef & business owner) retired in 2019. Together (and with our children), we have traveled to many places around the world, and now we are ready to have extended visits without the limitations of employment. We have excellent ratings on Airbnb, VRBO, and Jenn has been with TrustedHousesitters.com for over a year (also with an excellent rating). We are known for taking good care of the properties we inhabit as well as maintaining open communication with our hosts. We are healthy (mostly vegetarian – we will not cook meat in your home), non-smokers, responsible, and generally a happy couple.
Why they want to house sit
We are looking for new adventures around the world and see house sitting as a gateway to places we may not have considered staying. Jenn has used pet and housesitting in the past to save money while visiting family and friends. We are open to visiting most of the world!
Their experience
Our past experience is mostly with Trustedhousesitters.com which Jenn used to visit our daughter in Washington DC and we have an upcoming sit scheduled for Chicago while visiting friends. As already stated we are good caretakers of the homes we stay in and have excellent ratings in this area.
What can they bring to the assignment
We will care for your home as if it were ours (actually - better than ours)! We've been home owners for 35 years and are capable of basic maintenance. We've had many pets: fish, birds, cats, dogs, rabbits. We've also owned a pool and are aware of the daily upkeep.

Jennifer is a gem
Jennifer is a gem! Olive took to her immediately, though got a little shy and pouty when I left which normal behavior for her. Jennifer's communication was excellent, she anticipated Olive's needs and I felt secure knowing Olive was safe and loved despite being out of country on a grueling work trip. Jenn was wonderful

We're very fortunate that Jennifer was able to care for our senior poodle. She enthusiastically took responsibility for his special diet, habits & limitations.
