Nomadic Grandma and Grandpa want to care for your home and pets

We are a semi-retired 58 yr old couple with loads of experience maintaining, building and caring for homes. George is a nomadic computer programmer and I am retired. We bring to the table a plethora of skills sets and loads of practical experience.

Why they want to house sit

We have a strong nomadic bent. Even though my husband and I co-own a communal house in Austin and have a rural homestead in another Texas town, we like to take off and experience other places. He is a digital nomad so can travel anywhere in the USA/Canada/Mexico. I was a carpenter and teacher and also owned several small businesses. We both like animals but I am absolutely bonkers for all animals.

Their experience

Yes. We have been married 25 years and still like each other. We have two grown children that turned out pretty great. George has been a computer programmer for decades. I have enjoyed been MANY professions: carpenter, teacher, daycare owner, waitress, maid, cook, nanny, vet assistant among a few. My favorite job I ever had was renovating older 1930s/1940s era homes for resale.

What can they bring to the assignment

The synergy of two experienced skilled stable mature sober older individuals. I have plumbing, carpentry, electrical skills specifically but also have loads of soft skills. Good with animals and children. We are responsible stay at home types. We like to cook homemade meals and fight about which scrabble words are allowed in our games :)
