Couple looking to help with animals/house sitting!

About this sitter

My name is Katherine and my husband and I, Alex, are very interested in pet/house sitting for you!

To give a bit of background, we are in our late 30’s and both have full-time remote jobs. We travel a lot and it’s easy for us to move around with our jobs. Even though we work remotely, we like to work from a private room as opposed to a coffee shop because we have many meetings throughout the day. Meaning, we will be home all day for your animals!

Why they want to house sit

I (Katherine) work for a health care non-profit and my husband started his own business in 2016, a battery company that replaces gas generators. We currently reside in Washington, D.C. but are wanting to take advantage of having “no responsibilities” for a while before we “settle down”.

We are a couple that loves tv shows, eating/cooking, working out, and visiting our far and near friends and family. Alex is from Idaho, and I’ve moved 7 times. We both went away to college and so have a lot of people to visit across the country!

Their experience

Alex and I have traveled extensively the last couple of years. We have been away as many as 6 weeks at a time, throughout the US and Europe. Always a new adventure learning someone's home, a ne city, transit changes, etc. WE LOVE IT! We are relatively light travelers, know how to pack and know how to entertain ourselves.

We are very experienced with animals, including giving medications (pills, shots, drops, etc.) My husband's mother was a veterinarian and he worked in her and others' clinics throughout his youth. Very happy to provide references. My “family” dog was a lovable, rescue pit bull/lab mix who died a year ago at the ripe age of 14.

What can they bring to the assignment

We are more than happy to follow your house rules. We want to honor the needs of your pets first and foremost. We know it can be hard when parents leave their pets and we want to create an environment for them that feels like you never left. :)
