Friendly, quiet self-employed editor (non-smoker) who loves travel and animals - I will love your pets as if they were my own!

About this sitter

I'm a 37-year-old editor from the south of England, who has worked in publishing for 15 years. I'm now going freelance, meaning I can work from anywhere - and I'm excited to start travelling the world. As you might expect from my job, I love books, but my other loves are animals (particularly soppy dogs), food, travel, long walks and art.

Why they want to house sit

I am self-employed and can work from anywhere with WiFi, so I want to take the opportunity to see new parts of the world, and to explore other cultures and countries. I love the idea of making myself useful and being of service to others while I travel.

Their experience

I have done house-sitting and pet-sitting for various friends and family members (including one lovely trip to the south of France!). I have plenty of experience with dogs (we grew up in a house with three dogs and my family have had several others since - they're key members of our family!). I lived with a friend for a year when she got a new kitten, and loved helping out with her - she was a sweetheart. And we had a bunny, mice and hamsters when I was little too. So I'm familiar with and comfortable with lots of different animals.

What can they bring to the assignment

I'm reliable and trustworthy, and I LOVE animals, so I'll want to spend time with your pets and make sure they're feeling loved while their humans are away. I am quiet and easy-going (I won't be having parties or inviting guests round!), and my work can be done remotely so I will be there to look after your house and pets and do any chores necessary for the majority of the day. I am also a bit of a clean freak and I will treat your house like it's my own - I want you to come home to a clean house and happy pets.
