About this sitter

I have raised a family and owned homes in the past. Now, it's my time to enjoy my life and I want to do that on the road. I am in excellent health and focus on staying that way (non-smoker, no drugs, occasional glass of wine). I am high-energy and a bit of a neat nick, bordering on having OCD. I like having tidy surrounds.

I am fortunate to have family who allow me to use their homes as a home-base when needed, which leaves me open to care for your home and pets. I am in the process of selling my home and have taken a shine to Swedish Death Cleaning (e.g. sorting out my stuff so my kids won't have to when I am gone).

I am semi-retired, picking up some remote work from time to time. I have never met a stranger, and I am well-beyond the wild party stage of my life, so I am certain your neighbors will enjoy meeting me.

Presently, I am looking for a long-term house sit in the Eastern half of the USA. I grew up shoveling snow and have lived in the jungle, so weather is not an issue for me. I was raised in suburbia, have lived in a city of 18 million, and also enjoyed live in the remoteness of a coffee farm in the mountains. I would like to have reliable internet but other than that, I am very flexible.

Why they want to house sit

Now that I am semi-retired, I want to travel and experience new places and meet new people. When my son received a full-ride scholarship to university, I was able to take some time see the world and that I did. For seven years, I taught ESL: a year in Honduras, two and a half years in Ecuador, a year in Indonesia, and two and a half years in China. Being an adaptable adventurer, I look forward to caring for your home and pets, and if you have a garden, better yet!

Their experience

I have owned and lovingly cared for my own homes for over three decades. I am handy and resourceful and know how to take care of home emergencies with skill and grace. I worked my way through high school and university cleaning bachelor pads and providing child and pet care. During my time abroad, I lived in some remote areas, including a coffee farm and eco-resort, so I can manage a variety of animals and surrounds.
