France, Italy and Ireland & UK are favored countryside haunts, preferably 1-6 month sits, including travel time, work best for me to learn about an area. In an emergency I would try to cover a short sit when practical.

I love grand and charming old places, gardens and anything stone. I have repaired stone buildings in Italy and Wales and also some church statues. I would love to paint an angel in Venetian Plaster in a gorgeous old church.

Orderly non-smoker, bio/organic oriented. Uses no chemicals except vinegar, baking soda and epsom salts. No scents or fabric softeners used.

I was an inspector for California Certified Organic Farmers & planted 2300 trees on my ranch with horses & Llama. I understand large and remote properties.

My goal is to experience & create beautiful things, learn every day, encounter brilliant & wonderful people and find à home to buy in the right place. Tai Chi & Yoga are daily practices.

Sometimes vegetarian and love all types of gardens, orchards & forests.

I avoid plastics when possible & try hard to recycle.
I am not the sitter for a property where toxic chemicals, pesticides or round up is used.

Shoes off indoor policy is welcome and I keep a clean clean house in order with cats off tables and counters. Chef's kitchen a plus.

I love all manner of creatures including bees and dragonflies, & was a beekeeper most of my life. I have owned and managed large and remote properties and am security conscious.

I can do most things a property might require including operate tractor, maintain pipes and drainage.

Especially enjoy calm, country settings with old architecture & lovely ambiance.

My animal experience is fairly extensive and I can read most animals well enough to spot issues early.

Horses are a plus. People like me are called horse whisperers. My methods are gentle but firm with animals, using voice & non-verbal communication. I am not a "furbababy" type but am kind and effective.

Love horses, big dogs, saucy terriers & all michevious kittens & tabby cats & silly peacocks & chickens. I like long fast forest or beach walks daily and enjoy yoga and tai chi outside.

Currently patenting heavily math embedded Education Process which dramatically impacts issues of ADD, ADHD, ASPERGERS, PTSD and various issues which impede learning. So, I need quiet time to think. I spend a lot of alone time but am friendly on my terms.

Why they want to house sit

learning about a place and the culture and improving my languages is much better than short visits. I like lengthly countryside visits and very short city visits.

Finding a place to really love and eventually retire to is attractive and housesitting may accomplish that.

It is also a good experience for me to get better acquainted with historical and cultural details in my writing by immersion.

Their experience

I managed my own and other properties. Military background meant living in many properties in many countries. My ex-husband & still good friend is in real estate and we managed many estate properties through his business in a very exclusive neighborhood.

What can they bring to the assignment

I am experienced, reliable, kind, capable, orderly and pay close attention to detail.

I meet my committments and keep my promises. At my last sit I found two small kittens dumped in the forest at a public trash dump. When there was no help, I was able to trap, house them at a farm, tame them & find them lovely forever homes where they are now happy & well loved. I do occassional equestrian & PTSD clinics for charities with all of funds going directly to charity.

Animals and neighbors like me. I communicate well with all kinds of people and creatures.

I treat the world with respect, appreciation, understanding & kindness and expect the same. I am very lucky, patient and persistent.
