About this sitter

We are a small team of travelers: León, 7 years old, who loves reading, drawing, music, and playing! Bennet, my life partner (38), with experience in working with children and languages, and myself, Jorge (43), a multi-project enthusiast passionate about creating initiatives and proposals with a human-centered focus. A few months ago, we decided to embark on a one-year journey around the world with the purpose of learning about different ways of living, cultures, and lifestyles, while contributing as volunteers or caretakers in various places.

We are an honest and transparent family, peaceful by nature, and we base our integrity on love for ourselves and for others. Bennet and I continue to sustain and coordinate several active projects from Mérida, Yucatán, Mexico, which is our place of origin and residence. While we travel, we work remotely and manage our beautiful business/brand that has been producing and selling delicious, healthy ice creams and popsicles for the past six years in Mérida.

We also promote and coordinate, together with creative artists, a cultural and artistic space that offers workshops, courses, and activities in the same city. As we journey, we document and weave the beginning of a collective movement—a global network of people and projects that are making a positive impact through their personal work, with a focus on human development and respect for nature and the Earth.

Sustaining this family project of traveling to integrate is not easy, which is why we also seek platforms, spaces, or volunteer opportunities where we can offer our energy in exchange for learning, experiences, or accommodation. When we care for a home, we seek a space where we can serve with commitment and respect, while also using the experience to gain a deeper understanding of the area, its people, and culture—and to create beautiful memories along the way! We are always willing to collaborate, learn, and do everything with love. ?

We want to embrace opportunities that lead us into more human experiences, giving us the chance to gain a more real and everyday perspective on the places, people, and culture, by getting involved in activities where we can contribute with our energy.
