Family with small children looking for a nice stay

About this sitter

We are Jolet (40) and Matthijs (38). We are looking for a nice home to stay a few weeks during summer with our 2 children (3 and 1). We like to travel, see and experience. Since we have young children now, we are looking for a peaceful kind of experience as housesitters. However, we do like to go out and about.

Why they want to house sit

We like to travel, see and experience. Since we have young children now, we are looking for a peaceful kind of experience as housesitters.
We don’t mind tending to pets and plants, actually we think it would be a great experience for our children. We like gardens and nature, but we only have a small garden. We have pets of our own at home as wel. We have a cat and fish. We had a dog for many years, but she passed 2 years ago. We like our children to become accustomed to and have fun with all kinds of animals.

What can they bring to the assignment

Depending in your needs, we bring all sorts of experience or skills.

We are experienced pet owners for example. We currently have a cat and fish. We had a dog for many years but she passed. Jolet has worked as a dog sitter via Pawshake for a while. She also volunteered at the animal rescue for many years, working with cats. She also has a bit of experience with handling horses and horse back riding.

We have other relevant experiences and/or skills, but we can discuss this in more detail when we are in contact with each other.

Matthijs has a Police check but Jolet not, because in the Netherlands you can only get it if your employer or a government agency asks for it. Jolets former employer did not require it. Matthijs as a teacher, did require one for his employer so he has a copy.
