About this sitter

It's my philosophy to emulate caring for your home and pets exactly as you care for them. These are some of the most personal elements of your life, and I am grateful for your trust with them!

My favorite human being in the world is Mr. Rogers. You'll notice a photo of him in my profile. I met him once, as a young girl, and he remains my inspiration to study early childhood development. It is my intention to treat each space, each home, each animal, each small child -- each encounter with another -- as Mr. Rogers would.

It's important to me to be a clear communicator, conscientious, tidy, thoughtful, and respectful to all, in every situation. If asked to identify my top 5 life "core values," they'd be the following:

- Humor (as in, warm softness and levity -- never humor at the expense of others!)

I am looking to match with homeowners who share these core values as they extend their trust to me. My time in your home will be an extension of you.

Why they want to house sit

I'm spending the next year on a bit of a sabbatical, while I apply to graduate programs in early childhood development beginning next September (Fall 2026). My husband and I are 40 years old, with no children, no debt, secure savings and incomes, excellent credit scores, and plenty of time perfecting our "adulting," haha. But without children, I have loads of time on my hands at this juncture in life, while most of my friends are raising families, and I often find myself bored. I am looking to combine a sense of adventure with doing something useful and lending a trustworthy hand to others in the process!

Their experience

Yes. For 10 years, I was an early childhood educator for children with special needs, and I spent a good deal of time outside of school hours additionally supporting families in their homes -- caring for the children, certainly, but also being responsible for the home and pets. I've traveled with families in the past on vacations as a caregiver for their small child(ren), and I've also stayed behind to mind the house and pets while they've been gone.

I know firsthand how significant it is to trust a stranger with your home, your things, and/or the animals you love dearly! And we build trust by being genuine and keeping our word. You have my word that the above descriptions are a genuine reflection of me.
