About this sitter

We are a small, thoughtful, animal-loving, Canadian family of three: Lindsey, Simon, (the grown-ups) and Ami (almost 3 years old). Simon is an experienced dog trainer, and can offer specialized care for your canine friends, and Lindsey is a certified cat-lady (if that were a thing) and has loved and cared for cats her whole life. We have a dog and cat of our own (who stay with family members when we are away), so Ami has grown up around cats and dogs and is great with both. We also have experience caring for indoor and outdoor plants, and treat our living spaces with a great deal of care and intention. Lindsey works remotely, and Simon is a stay-at-home parent along with his dog-training business, so one or all of us could be present to care for your animals pretty much round the clock. If you're looking for loving and attentive care for your home, plants, or animals, we would love to meet you!

Why they want to house sit

We are looking to spend some time outside of Canada to give our daughter some exposure to different parts of the world. We're open to most locations, and currently prefer longer term (at least 1 month) stays, but would be open to short-term for the right place.

Their experience

Yes! I (Lindsey) have cared for other people's homes, animals, and gardens many times, and we also have animals (and lots of plants!) of our own. I have lived in over 10 different countries and am used to adapting to different cultures, languages and environments. I am a care professional (was a nanny for years, and am currently a doula -- I I am very meticulous and thoughtful in the way that I care for homes, animals, and people alike). Simon is an experienced dog trainer and is very skilled at handling all different kinds of animals.

Loving and attentive animal care, consistent cleaning and care for your home, specialized dog training if needed, plant care, open and responsive communication, regular updates on your home and animals as desired.
