Why they want to house sit

I’m about to start a digital nomad journey through Europe, a place I’ve visited twice before. This time, I want to experience a slower, more local way of traveling while balancing my remote work schedule. Since I work for a US-based company, my afternoons and evenings are spent working from home, which means I’ll be around during those times to share a safe and comfortable environment. House sitting feels like a great way to have a peaceful base and offer companionship to pets who need it. It’s a win-win: I get a calm place to focus and relax while providing reliable care and company.

Their experience

Last few months I've been living with my brother and our old little dog, Gorda, who has some difficulties with one of her paws, which has helped me develop a lot of sensitivity. I pretty much enjoy the companionship and independence of cats, but I also find larger animals very friendly. Growing up, I had a playful boxer dog, Bruno, who taught me a lot about loyalty and fun. I’ve also looked after friends’ homes and pets before, even a coworker trusted me with his house and plants!

What can they bring to the assignment

I’m attentive to details, keep spaces tidy, and treat every home with care and respect. I enjoy learning from each animal’s unique rhythm and building trust day by day. I've had lovely experiences spending time with cats or dogs of family and friends, creating short but warm and respectful bonds. Fun fact: my parents are bird lovers, so I’ve learned a lot about birds over the years, you can almost always spot some in their backyard!
