About this sitter

Kia ora! We’re a responsible, animal-loving Kiwi family travelling the world for two years. We’ve left our home in New Zealand to embrace a slower, more meaningful way of life — discovering new cultures, meeting great people, and spending quality time together as a family.

We’re experienced homeowners ourselves with great reviews we understand how important it is to feel peace of mind when someone else is in your space. We’re clean, respectful, and will care for your home, pets, and garden as if they were our own.

Our son Daniel (11) and Daughter Holly (8) are calm and gentle with animals, and we’ve all grown up with pets — from dogs and cats to chickens, rabbits and fish. I have had a lifestyle block and have experience with horses, goat, sheep and cows also. We genuinely enjoy spending time with animals and are happy to work in with their routines, walks, cuddles, and quirks.

? What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for house sits that allow us to live like locals — ideally with pets to care for and a quiet, relaxed home environment. We’re flexible on location and duration and happy to consider both city and rural areas.

Our ideal sit includes:
• A friendly pet or two (dogs, cats, chickens – we’re animal lovers!)
• A tidy, comfortable space to call home while you’re away
• Good communication before and during the sit
• Wifi, laundry access, and a workable kitchen

In return, we’ll give you complete peace of mind, regular updates, and the same level of care and respect we would want for our own home.

We’re travelling the world as a family and prefer to slow down and live like locals rather than move from hotel to hotel. House sitting gives us a peaceful base, a sense of home, and the joy of caring for animals — something we all genuinely love.

What can they bring to the assignment

We bring maturity, reliability, and genuine care to every sit. I (Annette) have a background in local government leadership, and my husband Greg is a qualified electrician — we’re both practical, responsible, and used to managing homes, sorting issues quickly if spotted, following people’s instructions, and leaving the home in the same or better condition than found- calmly and respectfully.

We’ll treat your home and pets as if they were our own. I’m a bit of a clean freak (in the best way!) so you can expect your home to be spotless when you return. We’re also great with routines and happy to accommodate the specific needs of your animals or property, mail, bins etc.

We offer open communication, complete respect for your space, and the peace of mind that everything is being well looked after while you’re away.
