About this sitter

Hi! I am a former teacher-school librarian who became a digital nomad last summer to take a year or so to travel the world and spend some extra time with my family in Illinois. I lived in Portland, Ore., for nine years before leaving the country last August, and I have spent time in the Canary Islands, Catalunya, Kenya, and Mexico City since. I love everything outdoors– especially camping, hiking, backpacking, paddling and snowshoeing.

I'm looking for a house sit in or around Portland, as I miss the city and would like to spend time visiting all of the people there I love. As long as your home has WIFI for my remote job, I'm happy! I love all animals and gardening.

Why they want to house sit

I love to travel and soak up new experiences. I also love helping people! Housesitting allows me to travel, hang out with sweet pets, and experience new places. As a remote educational consultant, I am fortunate enough to be able to work from anywhere.

In my community of friends and family, I am always the first person asked to housesit. I've cared for dogs, cats, guinea pigs, and house plants. I am also a gardener who loves to water, harvest, and care for your beautiful outdoor spaces!

What can they bring to the assignment

I have three main assets:

1) I need a clean, peaceful living space. I keep my own homes immaculate and am the most respectful houseguest.

2) I love animals and will do everything possible for your pets. Whether you have a dog who needs tons of exercise or a cat who loves a couch cuddle, I'm happy to give your critters what they need.

3) I am a great communicator. I will make sure I have complete clarity about our housesitting arrangement. Just reach out with anything, anytime!
