Happily retired and travelling

About this sitter

My husband Frank and I have been happily retired after selling our hotel and Travel Agency in Jasper Alberta Canada. Covid was the reason we did so. In our early 70s we decided to cut all working responsibilities and travel the world which we have done for 3 years.
We are avid hikers, cyclists, kayakers and Frank loves his tennis.
We have done housittings as it allows us to discover an area for a longer period of time with its people and culture. Since we are travelling year around it realistically helps with our expenses.
We have housesat cats which seem to always steal our hearts each time we meet them.

Why they want to house sit

Housesitting we realize how easy it is to meet the locals, join some of the hiking clubs and gyms which is only possible by been in one place for longer periods of time.

Frank being a 42 rooms hotel owner with a staff of 15 staff has very high standard of cleanliness and tidiness.

3 months in St Germain de Vibrac in France with 3 cats
3 weeks on Salt Springs Island British Colombia with a labradoodle.

What can they bring to the assignment

We are in our early 70s. We owned 4 houses and a few businesses. We are responsible people as to how to deal with issues that arise from daily activities.
We are not afraid to look for solutions before calling expensive professionals to fix a problem.
