We're Back!

About this sitter

We were MindMyHouse sitters back in 2010/11 while we were on a year long sabatical and we are back...older and better. We like to have adventures and get to know people on our travels. Michel is an Emergency Medical Technician and Mitzi wears many hats - corporate governance, film programmer, administrator. Back in 2010/11 we babysat a cat, African Grey parrots (sorry, won't do that again) and worked on an alpaca farm (not MMH).

Why they want to house sit

Traveling to see locales is great but the best part of the adventure comes from the people you meet and get to know. Staying in one place, getting to know the locals and sometimes, on long stays, getting involved in classes, volunteering, etc. creates the opportunities for amazing interactions and stories.

Their experience

Yes. As mentioned back in 2010/11, as part of MMH, we babysat a cat in Altrincham and African Grey parrots in Zurich. We also worked on a small alpaca farm in Cornwall, worked in a Bedouin tourist camp in Jordan and a defunct fruit farm in souther France.

What can they bring to the assignment

We are homeowners so understand the unexpected things that can happen and we are also servants to our own beautiful fur baby, Nova, a senior cat that we adopted near the end of the pandemic, who is both incredible loving and demanding at times.
