About this sitter

We are Eoin (pronounced Owen) and Kim, a married couple who've made a fantastic team for 18 years and counting. We're originally from Ireland but have been living in New Zealand (and in more recent years, Australia) for 13 years. We've spent 2025 travelling to Cyprus, Ireland, Scotland and France to spend time with family. We're returning to Perth, Western Australia in September for a 4 month house sit which is due to finish early 2026 so we're now on the lookout for our next opportunity. We love longer term sits which allow us to settle into really good routines of pet care, home care and maintenance, whatever is required. We work hard to ensure that our hosts (your pets that is!) routines are as similar as possible to what they're used to, if not identical.

Why they want to house sit

We absolutely love animals and the outdoors. We ran our own business for 6 years where we worked long hours and rarely had time for anything that existed outside of the business. We're now making up for that and doing what we love - being active, be that walking your dog or tackling your weeds and unruly hedging. We love walking, running, hiking, gardening, exploring new locations and generally being outside with the sun on our faces and wind in our hair, house sitting allows us to do just that.

We've travelled extensively so we know how hard it can be to leave home for extended periods of time. We know what can and will crop up and we know how to make things as easy as possible for the world weary home owner. We can anticipate in advance what needs doing and make sure it gets done so that when you return home it's like you never left, regardless of whether you've been away for 3 months or 3 years!

We and are considerate and very caring - your pet(s) and your home are in exceptionally good hands. We can even take care of you, running your errands, picking up your groceries, collecting you from the airport, whatever makes for a nice soft landing.

Their experience

We have a proven track record of providing excellent care for homes, pets, plants and pools in four countries - New Zealand, Australia, France and Ireland. We've cared for 100 year old villas and multi million dollar estates and everything in between on sits that ranged from 10 days to 3+ months. We have seen it all, chickens needing emergency surgery, storm damage, a car that crashed onto the exclusive property we were caring for, cleaning scorpions out of swimming pools, protecting dogs from kangaroos, you name it, we've taken care of it without fuss and as if it were our own home and pets. With our broad backgrounds (Eoin is a carpenter / maintenance / DIY expert and Kim is a home care specialist) we're about as experienced as you can get.

Everything! Consider us to be your trusted lifestyle attendants while you're away. We bring it all, our enthusiasm, resourcefulness, attention to detail, care and self-reliance. We are proactive and great communicators, you will be kept abreast of all the goings on at home while you're away. We are happy to keep you as informed (or not!) as you like, daily photos of your fur baby? Not a problem. Prefer a weekly or monthly summary of happenings? You got it.
