About this sitter

Hi! We're Charlene and Lin! An Asian-American couple who sold our home in Southern California May 2024 to live full-time on the road in our self converted sprinter van. Along for the adventure is our six-year-old Cockapoo, Teemo-he's neutered, friendly, and well-behaved. If your home isn't dog-friendly, no worries-Teemo is perfectly happy staying in our temperature controlled van. It's his safe space.
Before hitting the road, Lin opened a restaurant out of his love for cooking after earning his master's degree in Southern California. He is also a proud us army veteran. I graduated from Columbia University post-pandemic and started an exporting business, which I now operate fully online. Aside from that, we now share our travel experiences on chinese social media platforms with over 800k followers.

Why they want to house sit

Over the past few months, we've traveled from Alaska to Baja, Mexico, and our goal is to explore all 50 states. As much as we love vanlife, having a home to rest for a day or two every now and then gives us a chance to reset before continuing our journey. We're so grateful to those who open their homes to us-it truly makes all the difference in our travels.
We both work remotely full-time as we travel, which means we'll be around most of the day to keep your house and pets company. Whether they need frequent potty breaks, extra cuddle time, or just someone nearby for comfort, we're happy to provide the care and attention they need.
We are lifelong animal lovers and would adopt more furry friends in a heartbeat it our van were bigger! Since that's not possible right now, pet sitting is the perfect way for us to spend time with animals while giving pet owners peace of mind. We understand how important it is to have someone reliable and caring looking after your pets, and we promise to treat them like our own-giving them plenty of love, attention, and care while maintaining their usual routines.

Their experience

We have cared for pets and animals all our lives. We've personally owned dogs, cats, bunnies, snakes, turtles, chickens, and goats.
We've cared for almost every pet you can think of. From dogs and cats to reptiles and pigs, we've looked after many different animals with various needs.

We have experience administering
medications, including injections and pills, and are comfortable with new puppies and kittens, as well as older dogs and cats.

While I've had multiple family pets before moving for college, I got my personal dog Teemo freshman year of college and he has been with me ever since! I would dog/cat sit for my friends all the time, teemo absolutely loves having furry friends over, he gets along with all dogs and cats!

What can they bring to the assignment

We're responsible, clean, and respectful of every home we stay in. We don't smoke or drink.
We always leave things just as we found them (if not better!) and are happy to provide updates so you can feel at ease while you're away. Whether it's dogs, cats, or any other furry (or feathery!) friends, we'll make sure they are safe, happy, and well cared for. We'd love the opportunity to meet you and your pets.
