About this sitter
I'm an extremely caring, clean, tidy, trustworthy, respectful and capable sitter. I have extensive experience of house-sitting, both alone and as part of a couple, I always look after the home I am sitting as if it were my own.
Why they want to house sit
I'm currently taking some time out to focus on creative projects and study, so house-sitting provides the perfect opportunity and solitude to do that. I'm equally happy to house-sit either in the countryside or city, as I love nature and animals, but also enjoy the benefits of the city too.
Their experience
I have substantial experience of house-sitting on long and short term assignments, within the UK and elsewhere and have always received excellent feedback and references from the people I have house-sat for.
While many of the references are of my sitting as a couple with Sebastian, I have done many alone too, including multiple repeated house-sits I've been asked back to, among them for some of those who have written joint references (ie. Tony, Jane and Ray Collins).
I have experience of looking after my own animals in the past, and several of the house sitting assignments have involved caring for animals. I generally find I get on very well with animals
I have enjoyed many of lovely mid/long term house-sits, some of them looking after animals and others without, and with each of them we've had a wonderful experience, and received extremely positive feedback from all of the people we/I've house-sat for.
What can they bring to the assignment
I can offer total trustworthiness and respect, a great deal of experience and resourcefulness. I'm a non-smoker & non-drinker, vegan and will care for your property with utmost care, maintaining it as you wish for your return.
I'm a massive animal lover, and find that animals respond very well to me, including very sensitive animals. If you have animals I'll give them all the love and care they need in your absence.
I'm quiet, conscientious, and considerate. I will be present in the home much of the time as I'll be working from home doing some teaching online, in addition to some study and working on my projects.
Previous people I have house-sat for have always commented how clean and tidy I have left the house.
For asignments abroad, I can speak fluent Spanish, having lived in South America for several years, and also speak French and can get by a little in Italian and Portuguese.

Great House-sitter - Conscientious, Communicative and Charming
Annette was the first to apply for our housesit and from her profile and testimonials, it was easy for us to make the judgement that she would be reliable and trustworthy. After our first meet on video call, we knew we needed to look no further! We were able to meet her in person before start of trip. This was a pleasure, as we found her to be a thoughtful, well-travelled and interesting person. We were able to sort out the practicalities and quirks of house and felt re-assured from the start that the house and garden would be in good hands. The communication between us during the 3 + weeks we were away was informative, relevant and friendly. She also expressed her own enjoyment of the house and the local area, which was good for us to know. We returned to an immaculately clean and tidy house, and a well -tended garden (despite the unusually dry spell whilst we were away) As a house-sitter, Annette was everything you'd want and more. We would be happy to ask her again, and equally happy to recommend her to you.

Kind and caring
Annette and Sebastian cared for the farm house and animals for 2 weeks (in July '21) and kindly also looked after 3 holiday cottage changeovers. They were great and I've already asked if they'd come again if the dates fit. I returned to 2 happy cats and 2 peacocks and 2 ponies were all fine and plants well watered.. The house was at least as clean as I left it and holiday cottage guests were very grateful for their kindness in a family emergency. They coped well with minor emergencies and and kept regularly in touch. Glad to have met them and hope to see them again one day.

Wonderful and caring sitters
Annette and Sebastian stayed in our house for 6 weeks and we could not have had better sitters. We have a rather feisty cat whom they quickly won over, and she happily shared their company. The house was perfect when we returned -infact cleaner than I left it! They left us some welcome home flowers in the kitchen and some foodstuffs as we were home very late in the evening. Annette and Sebastian contacted us on a regular basis with updates on the cat and answered/asked any questions we all had over the 6 weeks - so good communication all round. Sebastian even offered to do some gardening if it was needed. We can certainly recommend both Annette and Sebastian as perfect house sitters.

Trustworthy and reliable house-sitters
Annette and Sebastian looked after our two bedroom flat in London while we away in Australia and New Zealand. They had the added responsibly of taking care of our two indoor cats and goldfish. They communicated with us intermittently to let us know how the flat and animals were doing which really helped us to relax and get on with our holiday, knowing that everything was in safe hands. We returned to a clean home and Sebastian had even fixed the loose faucet in the kitchen! Totally trustworthy and reliable, great experience all round and have even asked them to housesit for us again in June!

Calm, communicative and charming.
Annette has looked after our house on two occasions: first for two months then for four months. She kept us regularly informed about the upkeep of the house and the garden. Her brief was to make the house look lived in and to look after the garden and plants. This she did with aplomb and we would not hesitate to recommend her to anyone. We hope to make use of her services again in the future.

Highly recommended house and pet sitters
We would highly recommend Annette and Sebastian as trustworthy, reliable housesitters able to take on any challenge. They lived on our remote, off-grid farmhouse for several months during the intense Spanish summer and adapted well to a lifestyle with limited water, solar power and an outdoor compost toilet. Our dogs received daily walks and lots of loving attention, our cat had no complaints and our chickens and garden were well cared for as well. We were happy to return to a clean, well-maintained house and, thanks to Annette and Sebastian, enjoyed a worry-free vacation.
