About this sitter

Hello! I am an avid traveller who enjoys a sense of daily life wherever I visit. I still do some touristy things, however simply ‘being’ where I am is just as fulfilling. It is a sense of what it is like to ‘be a local’ in other parts of our world that is my greatest reason to house sit.

Why they want to house sit

I want to housesit because tending to another’s home and pets fulfills my desire to help others have worry-free time away. I grew up in a rural area, and I do not need a large city’s atmosphere to be content. I also adore dogs. I have a healthy respect for cats! I have had goldfish and tropical fish as pets, many years ago. I’m am also familiar with budgies, although ours never left their cages. I was concerned they may not return to them!

Their experience

I have not had the pleasure of housesitting yet. However, as a homeowner of 26 years, with my husband, two daughters, and two spaniels, I am no stranger to what is required.

What can they bring to the assignment

I bring 26 years of homeownership, and 10 years of experience with our two dogs, to the table. I also enjoy gardening (flowers) and yard maintenance, such as mowing the lawn. I’ve shovelled our driveway and sidewalks free of snow a number of times, too. I also enjoy learning about a new place, regardless of its size.
