Huge animal lover who is friendly, reliable, tidy and trustworthy

Hello, I am Claudia. I am a huge animal lover living in Berlin and excited to be back after a little break to taking care about the pets and houses of this community here! I lived nearly nine years in Spain where I worked as editor for several magazines and agencies. Beside my job there I spent most of my leisure time in an animal shelter as a volunteer where I took care about cats and dogs. A lot of them were in a bad condition as they came there and we have done everything to get them well again and find them a lovely home in the end. It’s amazing what you can cause with patience, care and lot of love. Through my work there I’m able to handle all kind of cats and dogs, even the shy, scared or aggressive ones. After a while nearly all of them were little cuddle monster. :) During these years I also had a lot of foster pets in my home and cared about them till they were healthy and full of energy again and found them a home. In some of the cases my friends and family from all over Europe (Sweden, UK, Germany, Spain) adopted them in the end what gave me the chance to still be a part of my former fur babies and still get pictures and information.

I am a reliable, trustworthy and tidy person, who loves to be in the nature, having long walks with dogs and also cuddling with all kind of fur babies. I love all kind of animals except mosquitos ;).

I am vegetarian and non smoker.

Why they want to house sit

I love to travel but not so much as a normal tourist who stays in hotels and want to meet other tourists; I travel around the world and rather try to get in touch with as much local people as possible to see how they live and learn about their culture. As I lived in several countries I also have friends all over the world who also love to travel. As my whole family and also all my friends have pets, we are taking care of these fur family members while one of us is traveling or has to work somewhere else.

To know that your pet and your house are in good care while you are away and you don’t have to worry about anything gives you the chance to really relax and enjoy your travel. I like the idea to give other home and pet owner the same good feeling to get in an absolute relaxed mode whilst they are able to visiting other places and countries. And in return I get a nice place to stay and adorable pets as company.

Their experience

As already mentioned I've often take care about the houses and pets of friends over the years as well as for hundreds of cats and dogs in an animal shelter. I have two adorable cats who own my heart and my home. Four years ago I adopted a senior dog of 9 years from a shelter. He was such a beautiful soul and we spent so many hours together in the nature every day. He brought a lot of sunshine in my life. Unfortunately he broke my heart last year as he went over the rainbow bridge. I still miss him every day! One day I will have a dog again and it will be probably a senior dog from a shelter again as they earn it so much to be loved at least the last years of their life. And till then I am super happy to take care about your dogs, cats and all the other animals!
