Austrian-German couple eager to sit in Winter 2026/27

About this sitter

Hi there,
We are Eva (33) and Tobi (38), an Austrian-German couple.
Having met about two years ago in Sri Lanka where Tobi is based part time, we've been travelling and living together in various places ever since. Both of us share a strong love for nature, outdoor activities and animals. We prioritize a calm, close to nature (yogic) lifestyle over the hustle and bustle of city life. That’s why we look for house sits in more remote areas, surrounded by nature.

Why they want to house sit

House sitting is a wonderful opportunity to live for some longer time in a certain area and get to know it in a profound way. Having travelled in many countries, we now feel the call to calm down a bit and combine that with exploring a new area.

Their experience

Last winter we stayed in a friend's house on the South coast of Sri Lanka for almost four months, taking care of her property and three cats. We really enjoyed that and would love to do some house sitting in the South of Europe this winter. In the past, Eva had taken care of her neighbour's apartment for long periods, looking after the plants, mail and general maintenance.

What can they bring to the assignment

We're open minded, reliable and not shy to get our hands dirty. Our positive approach to life and hands-on attitude makes it easy for us to stay calm even in challenging situations. We are both good communicators and adaptive to new situations.
